Jade plant can be made in to a bonsai, It is
called as Portulaca arfa . It is a lucky plant for Chinese. It is a succulent means the plant contains 80% of water in its body. It grows well in full sunlight and needs less watering .the soil should be dried in between watering, it responds well for cuttings and pruning which should be done before spring season ,that is growing season of the plant. It can be trained in to a any style of bonsai, here the plant is fully grown and slanting on rock for its support .It looks like huge tree growing in natural surroundings. That is the beauty of bonsai art. It is art where your imagination makes a beautiful natural creation .

Jade can be made in to mame bonsai or small bonsai. The main fertilizer for jade plant is liquid fertilizer once in three months. Re potting can be done one in a two years.

These are some of the infant Jade plants. They are still under training. Bonsai is a art of long patience and its like a meditation. which gives fruits on experience. In Bonsai Art as the plant grows we learnt many things of wiring and pruning with experience. Success makes us happiness and failure gives us experience. Jade is a best plant for Beginners. It grows from cuttings also.

Mature Plant Gives pink small flowers. the plant needs dry soil in between watering. Some times this plant can be grown as indoor  Bonsai . Place the plat on west side window to grow as indoor Bonsai. This plant grows well in well drained soil.
Some time we can leave the plant wild with out any cutting and pruning for some months and start pruning. Pruning is the main step while shaping a Bonsai. When the jade plant grows wild , it always produces hanging long branches. we have to prune them to give a good style to our plant. here in video  I did step by step pruning to show the beginners how to prune a jade plant. First cut was made by removing half of the length of the branches, and in second round of pruning study the plant and  cut down the branches which are criss crossing and which are out of harmony and disturbing the style of the plant.

Complete Video of pruning and styling is given in below link
